The incident was reported in Sydenham Road near Champion Road at around 4pm today (May 11).
London Ambulance Service crews were called to the scene, however, a man was pronounced dead shortly after.
The nature of the incident is unclear at this stage.
We have contacted the Metropolitan Police for further information.
A spokesperson for London Ambulance Service said: “We were called today (Mon 11) at 4pm to reports of an incident in Sydenham Road, SE26.
“We sent resources including ambulance crews and an incident response officer.
“Sadly, a man was pronounced dead at the scene.”
