Urgent ‘call 999’ alert issued after girl, 16, goes missing


Teenager Caitlin Pridding was last seen at home two days ago

An urgent ‘call 999’ alert has been issued following the disappearance of a teenage girl who has not been seen for two days. Caitlin Pridding, 16, was last seen on Saturday morning (May 16).

She was last seen at her home in Huyton, with police enquiries now ongoing to find her. The teenager is described as being 5ft 4ins tall, of a slim build and with long light brown hair.

Caitlin also wears braces on her front and bottom teeth, Merseyside Police said. The teenager has links elsewhere and is known to often visit Liverpool, Bootle, Blackpool, Manchester and Wirral.

A photo of the teenager was shared on social media as part of a public appeal. Anyone with any information regarding her whereabouts is being urged to contact police immediately.

“If you see Caitlin please call 999 immediately so we can make sure she is safe,” a statement added.
