Hull City celebrate promotion with open-top bus parade

Enjoy it, says skipper Lewie Coylepublished at 17:16 BST

Captain Lewie Coyle has just spoken to a sea of fans from the balcony of Hull City Hall. He said: “There was nothing going to stop us.”

He also paid tribute to his late father, Chris Coyle.

“To stand here as captain of my hometown club, it’ll probably never ever kick in properly, but tens of thousands of people are celebrating this with us and it’s amazing.

“I’ve got my family right down there and a special man in the sky who’s definitely watching down on me.

“Life’s short, grab those that are next to you, even if you’re strangers, put your arms around one another, whether you’re friends, you’re family, grab them close to you and enjoy it.”
