One of Anime’s Most Violent and Dark Sci-Fi Survival Series From the 2000s Is Now Streaming in Hindi Dub

One of the darkest and most talked-about sci-fi anime from the 2000s, Gantz, is now available in Hindi. The 2004 anime adaptation is now streaming in Hindi dub exclusively on Netflix India.

Based on Hiroya Oku’s manga, the series follows Kei Kurono and Masaru Kato, two teenagers who die in a train accident and suddenly find themselves trapped in a strange game run by a mysterious black sphere known as Gantz. Instead of moving on, they are sent on deadly missions to hunt aliens hiding among humans.

Featuring lots of action, horror, science fiction, and psychological drama, Gantz has earned a cult following for its violence, bleak storytelling, and constant sense of danger. It originally aired in 2004 and ran for 26 episodes.

This is not a straightforward action anime, as it shows a lot of moral ambiguity, survival pressure, and characters making difficult choices under extreme conditions. Fans of darker anime such as survival thrillers, mature sci-fi stories, or high-stakes battle series may find plenty to dig into here.

The Hindi dub cast includes (via @sastaotaku on Instagram):

  • Farhan Patel as Nishi
  • Adnan Shakeel as Inamori

  • Rohit Juneja as Suzuki
