Formula 1 bosses have agreed to make changes to the sport’s engine regulations for the 2027 and 2028 seasons which will see an increase in internal combustion output.
The 2026 season has seen a 50-50 split between internal combustion output and electrical recovery system in the V6 hybrid power units. For the 2027 season, the split will be 58/42 for the former and will increase to 60/40 in 2028.
