Visitors to London Zoo have helped break a Guinness World Record for the most contributions to a painting-by-numbers.
More than 14,000 people helped create the piece, which spans 21 boards and features 200 animals. It was created at both London and Whipsnade zoos to mark the 200th anniversary of the Zoological Society of London (ZSL).
Victoria Sage, ZSL events manager, said she was “delighted” they broke the record, adding that it “exemplifies ZSL’s mission to connect people to wildlife”.
Visitors to London Zoo will soon be able to see the completed artwork before it is moved to Whipsnade Zoo later this year.
