Police have issued an appeal for any witnesses to come forward
A 12-year-old girl is fighting for her life in hospital after being knocked down by e-bike in hit-and-run in Warrington.
The incident happened on Long Lane in the Orford area at around 2.40pm yesterday (Wednesday, June 17). Emergency services descended on the street following reports that an e-bike had hit a child.
The girl was rushed to hospital from the scene with serious injuries. Cheshire Police said she is now a critical condition.

The rider of the e-bike not did stop and fled the scene after the crash. Police have now issued an appeal for any witnesses, or anyone with information, to come forward as the carry out investigations.
DS Russ Sime, of Cheshire Police, said: “We are appealing for anyone who witnessed what happened and has not already spoken to police to please get in touch with us. This occurred at a busy time of day when there would have been a lot of traffic and footfall in the area.
