
Friar’s Bridge in Inverness has been closed due to a police car on fire with emergencies services on scene
According to Police Scotland the incident happened around 8.35am this morning and emergency services are in attendance.

The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service was called at 8.34am and dispatched one appliance to the scene.
They were able to extinguish the fire using hose reels and breathing apparatus and their involvement concluded at 09.14am
There have been no reports of injuries.
But the main link in the city centre for the A82 trunk road over the River Ness southbound remains closed – the northbound section has just reopened.
Officers and Traffic Scotland are encouraging people to avoid the area and use an alternative route as there is no word on how long it will be closed.
