The actor, who plays the powerful antagonist in Nitesh Tiwari’s mythological epic, quickly became one of the biggest talking points online. While the trailer received mixed reactions overall, a large section of fans applauded Yash’s intense screen presence and performance. Many called him the ‘perfect Ravana,’ with some saying he was ‘born to play the role’. His scenes, particularly the Jatayu sequence and the closing shot featuring the lion, were widely appreciated. However, not all reactions were positive. Some viewers felt that Yash’s voice in the Hindi version lacked impact, making it one of the few aspects of the trailer to receive criticism.
Fans reactions on twitter
Several social media users took to X to raise concerns about the difference between Yash’s original voice in the Kannada trailer and the dubbed version in Hindi. One user praised the trailer and added, “My only concern is Yash’s Hindi pronunciation in a few moments. With #Ramayana, every word has to land with absolute clarity abd should connect instantly. Even a slight disconnect in pronunciation can break the immersion. Get that right, and this could be truly special.”“The Hindi dubbing of Yash should be improvised, the impact of voice which kannada version felt, that’s fire but the Hindi version lacks that voice impact,” opined a person. Another tweet read, “Yash’s dialogue delivery as Ravan in the Hindi trailer felt so substandard. He lacked the base and power his voice had in KGF.”
Why Lord Hanuman doesn’t feature in ‘Ramayana: The Introduction’ trailer
While the makers have not officially revealed why Sunny Deol‘s Hanuman doesn’t appear in the trailer, the film’s storyline may offer a clue. In the Valmiki Ramayana, Lord Hanuman enters the story only after Sita’s abduction, when he meets Lord Rama and Lakshmana during their search for her.

Reports suggest that Ramayana: Part One could end around the Sita Haran sequence. If that is the case, Hanuman’s character is likely to have a much bigger role in the second film. However, the makers have not confirmed where the first part of the story will conclude.Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, ‘Ramayana’ features Ranbir Kapoor, Yash, Sai Pallavi, Sunny Deol, Ravie Dubey, Rakul Preet Singh, Vivek Oberoi, and others in pivotal roles. The epic is planned as a two-part cinematic event, with Part One arriving in theatres during Diwali 2026 and Part Two scheduled for Diwali 2027.
