AIG Women's Open 2026 Leaderboard: Final Golf Scores From Royal Lytham & St Annes, As Shiho Kuwaki Claimed Major Victory

Final leaderboard from the 50th AIG Women’s Open, the last women’s major championship of the year, held at Royal Lytham & St Annes.

Shiho Kuwaki claimed a maiden major title with a dramatic play-off victory after an extraordinary day, where at least a dozen players were in contention.

Kuwaki finished on five under alongside Esther Henseleit, who nailed a 45-foot birdie on the 72nd hole to match her final-round 70 and take contest to extra holes.

Both players made par on the first extra hole, as Henseleit missed a 10-foot putt for victory and Kuwaki scrambled a four after having to pitch out of thick rough.

Henseleit saw her tee shot on the next hole clatter off a marshal into a bush, forcing her to pitch back into play and make a bogey, as Kuwaki found the green and two-putted for victory.

Overnight leader Yealimi Noh finished a shot back in third after a final-round 74, while Nelly Korda and Jeeno Thitikul – the world’s top two – ended a further stroke back in a share of fourth.

Charley Hull and Lottie Woad’s hopes of a home victory and third consecutive British winner at Royal Lytham end in a share of sixth, four strokes back, with Haeran Ryu – chasing a third consecutive major title – also ending on one under.

Only 11 of the 68 players making it through to the weekend finished under-par, with Kuwaki’s victory seeing her become the second successive winner from Japan and earning her the $1.5m first prize.

The AIG Women’s Open is the fifth of five majors in the women’s calendar. Korda won the Chevron Championship and US Women’s Open before Ryu followed KPMG Women’s PGA Championship success by winning the Amundi Evian Championship.
