Sky News halts for major Donald Trump breaking news | TV & Radio | Showbiz & TV

Sky News‘ regular programming was interrupted for a breaking announcement relating to US President Donald Trump. It was revealed that a man has been charged after authorities in the US found a gun concealed in his car and ammunition in his pocket at a golf course owned by Trump near Los Angeles. The presenter continued: “Authorities say they searched the man’s home and found an assortment of firearms, magazines and ammunition, body armour and notebooks with concerning statements.”

Jeanine John Taele, 38, was reported as a “suspicious individual” by plainclothes federal agents, who observed him taking photographs and videos of the golf grounds on Sunday. The man was spotted surveilling the golf course in Rancho Palos Verdes, just days before the president was set to arrive there for an event with the Republican National Committee (RNC).

After Taele was detained, authorities discovered a loaded magazine in his pocket and a loaded pistol in his car.

After obtaining a search warrant for Taele’s home in Downey, citing “the potential security implications”, officials said investigators discovered weapons such as a .45-caliber pistol, an illegally modified AR-type pistol and others.

Taele has been arrested for carrying a concealed firearm and possession of prohibited ammunition.

“There is no room for error, particularly in light of previous attempts on President Trump’s life,” Patrick Grandy, assistant director of the FBI’s Los Angeles office said.

Trump has survived three assassination attempts in recent years, with the latest occurring in April.

Gunfire then erupted outside the ballroom where Trump and senior administration officials were gathered. Four shots rang out during the chaos as armed agents rushed the US President to safety.

Federal prosecutors allege Allen attempted to assassinate Trump and senior members of his administration after travelling across the country armed with weapons and ammunition.
