Following a successful stop in Lucknow, the duo recently captivated students in Mohali, Punjab, as part of their nationwide outreach for the historical drama.
The interactive session saw the stars engaging warmly with college students, sharing insights into the film and emphasizing its significant message. Preity Zinta, a popular figure herself, took to social media on Saturday to share her experience, describing the visit as a “sweetest homecoming.”

Batwara 1947, directed by veteran filmmaker Rajkumar Santoshi, delves into the tumultuous period of India’s Partition. The film promises to be a poignant narrative exploring themes of love, sacrifice, and the enduring human spirit amidst historical upheaval.

Deol also shed light on the film’s title, explaining, “The title Bantwara was chosen after watching the film. We decided that this was the most suitable name for the story because it truly represents the emotions, struggles, and experiences portrayed in the movie.”
