New Online Purchase Form Features Expanded Geographic Options
A new online purchase form has been rolled out, designed to streamline the customer experience by offering extensive geographic selection capabilities. The updated form now provides comprehensive options for both state/province and country, catering to a broad international audience.
The "State" field, labeled as "field-postal-state-super-purchase," includes a full list of U.S. states and territories, ranging from Alabama to Wyoming, along with Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Additionally, it features all Canadian provinces and territories, including Ontario, which is pre-selected as the default option. Military postal codes for Americas, Pacific, and Europe are also incorporated for service members.
Customers will also find a "Zip Code" input field, "field-postal-postcode-super-purchase," which accepts up to seven characters and is marked as a required entry.
The "Country" selection, identified as "field-postal-country-super-purchase," has significantly expanded its options. While Canada is pre-selected as the default, the list covers a vast array of nations worldwide. North American choices include the United States of America, Mexico, the Bahamas, Cuba, the Dominican Republic, Haiti, and Jamaica. The form then extends to a global reach, listing countries alphabetically from Afghanistan to Zimbabwe, encompassing every continent and numerous island nations. Notable entries include various republics, kingdoms, and federations from Europe, Asia, Africa, South America, and Oceania.
This enhancement aims to improve accuracy in shipping and billing information for customers across a wide geographical spectrum, ensuring a smoother transaction process. The form is designed with accessibility in mind, utilizing sr-only labels for screen readers while maintaining a clean visual interface for all users.
