The couple, who tied the knot in 2024, describe the space not just as a property, but as a carefully curated collection of memories, comfort, and timeless aesthetics.
For the couple, the apartment represents a delicate balance between being “expansive yet intimate.” With large windows inviting floods of natural light and sweeping balconies that frame the city skyline, the home serves as a peaceful retreat. For Siddharth, the location holds profound emotional significance; he grew up in this very neighborhood, and his mother resides just a short distance away, grounding the couple in familiarity and family.
A Labor of Love and Design
In a recent tour with Architectural Digest India, the couple revealed their deliberate approach to interior design. Eschewing fleeting trends, Aditi focused on creating an environment that feels enduring and soulful.
“This is my first home… our home. So that in itself is very special,” Aditi shared. Describing her vision, she explained, “I gravitate towards things that I find timelessly beautiful. I wanted every room to have a mood, a vibe, and a wholeness of its own.” She characterized the overall aesthetic as “whimsical, poetic, and romantic,” drawing on elements that evoke a sense of fantasy rather than rigid modernism.
Siddharth, meanwhile, brings a different energy to the design, rooted in his well-known preference for vintage items. “I don’t like new things,” he admitted. The couple took their time to furnish the space, refusing to rush the process. They were meticulous in selecting pieces that reflect their individual personalities while maintaining a cohesive flow throughout the apartment.
Defining “Depth of Field”
Siddharth highlighted the importance of spatial dynamics in their home. He shared his disdain for spaces that feel like cold, sterile venues, emphasizing that a home must possess “depth of field.”
“I need to see different exposures of light. I need to see different breaks of color and pattern and structure, which I get in this apartment,” Siddharth noted. For him, the home achieves a rare balance where it feels large enough to explore but cozy enough to remain a sanctuary.

Perhaps the most striking feature of the residence is the primary bedroom, which has been transformed into an indoor garden. Adorned with delicate floral and berry motifs, the room is a testament to the couple’s creative synergy.
“I love our bedroom. To me, it’s like a garden, and I am surrounded by these flowers,” Aditi remarked. Siddharth jokingly acknowledged the floral theme, noting that it required him to embrace his gentler side. “I am very much in touch with my feminine side,” he laughed. “It’s a room full of flowers and berries.”
While the duo also maintains a residence in Mumbai, their Chennai home stands out as a unique pillar of their new life together—a space where, as they put it, they can find calm, inspiration, and the quiet joy of domestic life.
