ADOR: NewJeans Gears Up for Comeback

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta – K-pop girl group NewJeans is preparing to resume musical activities, its agency ADOR said Monday, as speculation grows following reports that several members were spotted in Copenhagen.

“The members are preparing for new activities in line with their individual conditions and schedule,” the agency said. It added that the group’s visit to the Danish capital is “part of pre-production in its new musical journey.”

“We will officially share their future direction when the time is right,” the company added.

Online buzz intensified after fans shared photos—circulating since April 12 on platforms such as X—allegedly showing members Hanni, Haerin, and Hyein in Copenhagen. Another user claimed to have seen the name “ADOR” on a reservation list at a music studio in Denmark, further fueling speculation about new recordings.

“[NewJeans’] visit to Copenhagen is a part of the group’s preproduction, intended to embrace the group’s new musical journey,” the agency said. “We will officially share their future direction when the time is right.”

NewJeans debuted in 2022 under ADOR, a subsidiary of HYBE, and quickly rose to global fame with its debut EP New Jeans, which featured hits such as “Attention,” “Hype Boy,” and “Cookie.” The group later topped the Billboard 200 with its 2023 EP Get Up.

Following a dispute between HYBE and ADOR’s former CEO Min Hee-jin, who had overseen the group’s production, all five members—Minji, Hanni, Haerin, Danielle, and Hyein—announced a hiatus in March 2025 after a court injunction barred them from carrying out independent activities without HYBE.

Three members—Hanni, Haerin, and Hyein—have since returned to group activities following the dispute, while Minji’s participation remains undecided and Danielle’s contract has reportedly been terminated.
