‘Chand Mera Dil’ avoids clash with Varun Dhawan’s rom-com
Interestingly, ‘Chand Mera Dil’ was initially expected to clash at the box office with Varun Dhawan’s ‘Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai’. The romantic comedy, which also stars Pooja Hegde and Mrunal Thakur, was earlier scheduled to release on May 22. However, the makers later shifted its release date to June 5, allowing both films to avoid a direct box-office competition.
Music of ‘Chand Mera Dil’ has already won hearts
Ahead of the release, the makers have unveiled several songs from the film’s music album, including the title track ‘Chand Mera Dil’, along with ‘Aitbaar’ and ‘Khasiyat’. In an official statement, singer Faheem Abdullah recently opened up about what drew him to the title song. According to him, the emotional simplicity and innocence in the film deeply resonated with him.“The delicate innocence in the film captivated me,” the singer shared in an official statement. He further added, “It’s not only about love, but it’s about the quiet moments that define it. I wanted my voice to mirror that intimacy, carrying warmth, honesty, and a deeply personal emotion that connects with every listener.”
When and where to watch ‘Chand Mera Dil’ on OTT?
After completing its theatrical run, ‘Chand Mera Dil’ will premiere on JioHotstar. The streaming platform’s association with the film was confirmed through the official movie poster shared by the makers. While the exact OTT release date has not yet been announced, films usually arrive on streaming platforms around 45 to 60 days after their theatrical debut. Backed by Dharma Productions, the romantic musical marks the first collaboration between Ananya Panday and Lakshya.
