JAMMU, Aug 7: Army Public School (APS), Sunjwan hosted the Cluster-Level Inter Army School Hindi Debate Competition under the aegis of the Army Welfare Education Society (AWES), bringing together students from eight Army Public Schools of Western Command Cluster-1.
The participants debated the topic, “Kya Rashtriya Suraksha ke Naam Par Maanavadhikaron ka Hannan Uchit Hai, Ya Yah Ek Galat Aur Asthir Niti Hai?”.
Brigadier Hari Prasad, Chairman, APS Sunjuwan, and Monika Hariprasad Gaikwad, Chairperson, FWO Strike 36, attended the event as chief guests. The programme commenced with the traditional lighting of the ceremonial lamp.
At the conclusion of the competition, APS BD Bari emerged as the overall champion, while host school APS Sunjuwan finished as the runner-up.
In the individual categories, Tanisha Sharma (speaking for) and Mukund Choudhary (speaking against) of APS BD Bari were adjudged Best Debaters. Shiv Langeh of APS Ratnuchak received the Best Interjector Trophy for his incisive interventions during the debate.
