TEMPO.CO, Jakarta – BLACKPINK’s Jennie has unveiled a teaser poster for her upcoming single, ‘Less Than A Lover.’ As reported by Soompi on Tuesday local time, Jennie directed, wrote, and composed the music for the single herself.
Jennie announced that the track will be released on July 24 at midnight Korean Standard Time.
Her Instagram post was immediately flooded with over 11,000 comments and 1.7 million likes, as more than 95,000 fans reposted a minimalist portrait featuring her alongside a man framed inside a classic blue car.
Previously, Jennie made her solo comeback with the single ‘Mantra’ on October 11, 2024. That single is an energetic pop-dance track and an anthem for female empowerment, delivering an uplifting message through its lyrics that encourage everyone to shine brightly in their own way.
Ahead of her new release, Jennie achieved a milestone on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
As reported by Soompi, Billboard announced on July 13 local time that Jennie and Tame Impala’s remix of “Dracula” reached a new peak at No. 5 on the US singles chart.
With this chart position, Jennie became the second female K-pop artist in history to enter the top five of the Hot 100, following her BLACKPINK bandmate Rosé, who reached No. 3 last year with her Bruno Mars collaboration, “APT.”
