Breaking news this evening, as the industrial action at INPEX’s Ichthys facilities starts to bite. Two cargoes of condensate bound for Japan and South Korea have been delayed been by the industrial action being taken at INPEX’s Ichthys facilities in Darwin. The 60,000m3 High Transporter tanker is currently sat idle at Ichthys waiting to be filled while the 130, 310m3 Morning Crane tanker is currently moored offshore. Both were due to be filled and depart Darwin before the weekend. On Friday the Offshore Alliance will face INPEX in the Fair Work Commission as the Japanese employer seeks orders to see the strike broken.
