Hike in price of domestic cooking gas
The Indian government has increased the price of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) by Rs 29 (€0,26 or $0,31).
This is the second time the price of cooking gas has been hiked since the US-Iran war broke out three months ago.
The increase follows a Rs 60-per-cylinder hike on March 7 after the conflict in the Middle East disrupted global energy supplies, according to Indian news channel NDTV.
The price of a 14.2 kg LPG cylinder in Delhi has now been raised to Rs 942 from Rs 913, Press Trust of India (PTI) news agency cited industry sources as saying.

CJP warns of nationwide protests if demands not met within week
After amassing a massive number of protesters at Jantar Mantar yesterday, the Cockroach Janta Party has demanded the removal of Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan within seven days.
“Despite the overwhelming public response, there has still been no resignation and no action from the government. We are therefore giving the government seven days. Either Mr. Dharmendra Pradhan should resign within seven days, or Prime Minister Narendra Modi should dismiss him,” the party said in a statement.
“If no action is taken within seven days, this movement will spread across the country,” it added.
This movement began after India’s Chief Justice, Surya Kant, reportedly likened young critics of the government to “cockroaches” and “parasites” during a court hearing, sparking outrage among young people.
The party is demanding the resignation of Pradhan over alleged exam irregularities.
“If we want to reset the education system, it must begin with the removal of the Education Minister. As long as he remains in office, we cannot begin the process of restoring the education system of this country,” CJP said.
