Over the course of their 27-year marriage, David and Victoria Beckham have built up an impressive portfolio of luxury properties across multiple continents, with rare glimpses of their private homes through different media appearances and social media posts.The couple has owned numerous houses over the years, though they traditionally kept their properties largely private, offering only selective social media glimpses until recently.During a four-part docuseries released in October 2023, the couple provided an extended look at their homes, filming primarily in their London townhouse and their country manor, where David maintains beehives complete with an initialled beekeeping suit. In recent interviews, both Victoria and David reflected on the importance their homes hold in their lives.“We always make time for each other, and we always have. I want Victoria to be the best version of herself, and vice versa. And as busy as we are, our family always comes first. That’s our priority, and that’s what makes it work when you’ve been together for so long,” David told Variety in a recent interview.Victoria shared a similar sentiment in a 2025 interview with Elle magazine. “We like to have fun. We like to spend time all together. We’re a very traditional family, much more than I think people would realise.”

According to a report by Architectural Digest, David Beckham’s real estate journey began in 1996, the same year he achieved international superstardom following a remarkable goal that catapulted him to fame. He purchased his first home, a four-bedroom redbrick semi-detached duplex in Salford, a city bordering Manchester, for the equivalent of approximately $187,000. The footballer sold the property in 1999, the year he and Victoria married, for roughly $232,000 when adjusted for inflation.

Oakwood House and early investments

The couple’s first purchase together came in 1998 when they acquired a roughly $400,000 penthouse in a red-brick Victorian building located in the prestigious town of Alderley Edge, a village popular with footballers. They sold the apartment for approximately $733,000 in 2002, realising a substantial profit on their investment.

Beckingham Palace and iconic renovations

In 1999, the couple purchased the Grade II–listed Rowneybury House, which the press quickly dubbed Beckingham Palace due to the substantial renovation costs. They paid roughly $3.14 million for the property, which featured seven bedrooms, an indoor swimming pool, a recording studio, a game room, and a gym.Victoria described her design choices for the home in an interview with The Independent, offering insight into her creative vision. “It’s an old house, and I’ve themed every room. It’s really camp. There’s a room like a tart’s boudoir, with leopard print everywhere and a mirrored ceiling. Then there’s our bedroom, which is quite virginal and white, with a big four-poster, old-oak bed. The hall is completely camp, with bright red walls, a huge tacky chandelier, and big, thick velvet curtains,” she recalled.The 24-acre grounds included tennis courts, a football pitch, gardens, a chapel, a hedge maze, and decorative “fake ancient ruins that form a children’s playground.” The Beckhams sold the estate in 2014, netting just over $11 million in profit.

Heawood Hall Estate and family expansion

As Victoria announced her second pregnancy in 2001, the family relocated to a converted barn on the historic Heawood Hall Estate in the prestigious village of Nether Alderley. The Grade II–listed property, believed to have been built in 1720, featured five bedrooms and cost approximately $1.5 million, with an additional $250,000 spent on renovations. The property boasted a 35-foot-long indoor swimming pool, a gym, and a playroom when put up for sale at $2.75 million in 2012. The family moved out in 2005 when their eldest was six years old.

International properties and diversification

During the summer of 2003, David signed a contract with a professional football club in Madrid, leading the couple to establish international properties. In 2005, they purchased a five-bedroom Tuscan-style property in the La Moraleja area in Spain, featuring lush grounds, a full tennis court, an outdoor heated pool, and a soccer pitch. However, David left Europe in 2007 to join the LA Galaxy in the United States, and the Spanish residence sat vacant for eight years before selling for $5.2 million.The couple also invested in other international locations. They purchased a luxury villa on Dubai’s Palm Jumeirah in 2003, which they later gifted to Victoria’s parents in 2009. In the same year, they acquired a six-bedroom villa in Bargemon, Côte d’Azur, for approximately $1.9 million, spending around $6.2 million on renovations before attempting to sell it for $2.9 million.

Upon arriving in the United States in 2007, the Beckhams purchased a palatial Beverly Hills property for $18.2 million. The 11,497-square-foot Italian-style villa featured six bedrooms, nine-and-a-half bathrooms, an elevator, a library, and a combination media and music room. The couple realised substantial profits when they sold it for $33 million in an off-market transaction in 2018.

London townhouse and permanent base

The Beckhams’ current primary residence is their townhouse in Holland Park, Central London. They purchased the 9,000-square-foot Grade II–listed Victorian home in 2013 for approximately $37.9 million and spent nearly $10 million on renovations in 2016, including building separate quarters on an adjacent plot for their eldest son. The four-story mansion features six bedrooms, a black-and-white kitchen with a luxe six-burner stove, an indoor pool, a wine cellar, a gym, a fashion runway, a nail salon, and a rumoured escape tunnel under the garden.

Cotswolds countryside retreat

Following the pattern of well-established English families, Victoria and David own a country home in the Cotswolds, the quintessential English countryside known to attract British royalty and celebrities. In 2016, they spent $7.6 million converting three Grade II farmhouses into one nine-bedroom structure.The estate features a manmade swimming lake, an apiary, wildflower meadows, grand gardens, an orchard, a hot tub, a plunge pool, and a tennis-court-turned-soccer pitch complete with bleachers. A $61,000 glamping safari-style tent sits near the swimming area, complete with an outdoor kitchen and stainless steel coal-burning stove that doubles as a dining table. Interior amenities include multiple reception rooms, a chef’s kitchen, a movie theatre, a spa, a gym, a game room, and a wine cellar.Recent Instagram posts from David revealed the athlete also maintains a chicken coop and greenhouse that he personally tends, alongside robust vegetable gardens growing sweet corn, lettuce, and strawberries.

Miami residences and recent transactions

In 2020, David paid $19.8 million for a penthouse on the 59th floor of a curvy 62-story tower in downtown Miami. The 9,200-square-foot unit featured five bedrooms, six full bathrooms, walls of glass overlooking Biscayne Bay, and access to high-end amenities including a helipad, beach club, on-site bank vault, fitness centre, spa, and indoor lap pool. The couple sold the property in February 2026 for $24.6 million in an off-market deal, nearly $2,700 per square foot.The Beckhams doubled down on Miami real estate in fall 2024, purchasing a 14,270-square-foot modern mansion for $72.3 million on a gated half-acre plot with 124 feet of Biscayne Bay waterfront and a private dock. The two-story residence features cantilevered wooden overhangs, wraparound terraces and balconies, and a 2,500-square-foot rooftop terrace with views of downtown Miami, the Atlantic, and the bay. Glass walls slide away to unite the interiors with the outdoors, where an infinity pool is located.The dramatic entrance features reflecting pools and a waterfall, while interior spaces showcase South American wood, marble, and bronze throughout a lush atrium with a two-story plant wall, reflecting pond, and palm trees. The kitchen features three islands and a walk-in refrigerator. The nine-bedroom residence includes nine full bathrooms, four half-baths, a 40-foot-wide living room, a gym with an outdoor yoga deck, a spa, a home theatre, an outdoor kitchen, and a wine cellar holding 600 bottles. The 1,500-square-foot primary bedroom offers dual bathrooms, with a second primary suite overlooking the water. The couple maintains this residence for their time spent stateside.
