Delhi Horror: 17-Year-Old Brutally Raped and Stabbed in Capital’s Latest Outrage

Brutal Murder in Delhi: Four Apprehended, Including Three Minors, Following Discovery of Decomposed Body

New Delhi: A chilling case of violence has rocked the national capital as Delhi Police uncovered the gruesome murder of a 17-year-old girl. The victim, who had been subjected to sexual assault and stabbed to death, was left in an open field, where her remains were discovered in an advanced state of decomposition.

Police have arrested four individuals in connection with the crime, three of whom are minors aged 16 and 17. The sole adult accused has been identified as Shivam, alias Sudama, a resident of Khadda Colony in the Swaroop Nagar area.

A Discovery of Horror

The investigation began on September 13 when local authorities received reports of a body found near Jaipal Rana’s field on Kushak Road. The state of the remains was so severe that initial forensic examination could not immediately determine the gender of the victim. Officials noted that the body had been partially scavenged by stray dogs, and in a sign of the violence inflicted upon her, one of the victim’s hands had been severed from her body.

Investigators revealed that the victim’s family had not filed a missing person report, as it was common for the teenager to leave home for several days at a time. The discovery of her remains, however, triggered a massive search for the perpetrators.

Digital Surveillance Breaks the Case

Because there were no eyewitnesses to the incident, investigators turned to high-tech surveillance. Police teams meticulously combed through footage from over 50 CCTV cameras positioned around the crime scene and along adjacent transit routes.

The breakthrough came when officials spotted a tempo moving suspiciously near the site around the time of the suspected murder. While the darkness made the vehicle’s registration plate illegible in initial clips, persistent tracking across multiple camera feeds allowed police to identify the vehicle’s trajectory. A coordinated night-long operation between September 15 and 16 led teams to Khadda Colony, where the tempo was traced and the driver apprehended.

Sequence of Events and Legal Action

Preliminary investigations indicate that the victim was acquainted with her attackers. According to police statements, the group had consumed alcohol together inside the tempo before the victim was sexually assaulted and fatally stabbed. The accused then disposed of the body in the field in a desperate attempt to conceal the crime.

Following the apprehension of the four suspects, police recovered two knives believed to be the murder weapons, as well as the clothing the accused were wearing at the time of the incident. The seized tempo has also been processed for forensic evidence.

A case has been registered under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act. Authorities stated that further investigation is currently underway to reconstruct the timeline of the attack, verify technical and forensic reports, and solidify the charges against each of the four suspects involved in this heinous act.
