Hugh Jackman Faces Major Financial News After Report His Ex-Wife ‘Turned’ Hollywood ‘Against’ Him Following Alleged Sutton Foster Affair

Hugh Jackman and Deborra-Lee Furness were married for 27 years before announcing their separation in September 2023 and finalizing their divorce in June 2025. But the rumors about why they separated have always included Hugh Jackman’s new relationship with Sutton Foster. There has, of course, been no confirmation one way or another, but the internet doesn’t require confirmation.

Now, with reports that Jackman and Foster might soon be heading to the altar, comes news that Jackman has purchased a new home, one that seems big enough to accommodate two and maybe even have a visitor or two. In Touch is reporting that Jackman purchased Jason Segel’s former Pasadena, California, home for nearly $6.9 million.

The 5,091-square-foot home includes five bedrooms and five bathrooms. Segel bought the property, which was built in 1919, in May 2019 for $4.255 million.

Architectural Digest reported when Segel bought the property that the house had “retained much of its original character,” but that major updates had been made, including a home gym and an updated chef’s kitchen.

The house includes a pool and a raised spa as well as a detached two-car garage.

Whether Jackman is seeing this as a home to live in with Foster after a possible wedding will remain to be seen, but that’s what people are expecting considering the two have been official for over a year and seem to be pretty solid. Jackman’s divorce from Furness was pretty messy, but it seems that things are in a good place again these days.

A June 12 report from Globe said Jackman now has nothing but praise for his ex. “He keeps talking about what a great wife she was and the incredible job she did raising their kids,” they revealed. “Hugh’s got her up on a pedestal again.”

Jackman shares Oscar, 26, and Ava, 21, with Furness.

The report indicates that Jackman’s shift came after months of “soul searching,” where the actor realized “he could have handled things better.”

“Looking back, he can understand why Deb was so angry about the way everything unfolded and why she felt blindsided,” the source added. “The more ownership Hugh takes for all the pain Deb went through, the easier it is to see things from her side.”

Foster, however, is reportedly not taking it well. “He’s gone from being quite combative to praising her, which really is not going down well with Sutton,” an insider told Globe.

“Having to listen to Hugh sing Deb’s praises is demoralizing for Sutton,” the source said. “She’s got to be wondering why Hugh is suddenly so focused on his past when they’re supposed to be concentrating on their future.”

Ironically, this comes after previous reports that Jackman was blaming Furness for his and Foster’s alleged isolation in Hollywood.

“Hugh’s becoming increasingly angry over the feeling that more and more people in Hollywood are quietly turning against him,” a source told Globe in May 2026. “He blames Deb for it 100% and says there’s been a steady drip of poison behind the scenes from her and her camp.”

Either way, it seems like Jackman is now interested in keeping the peace. You catch more flies with honey and all of that.
