India–Vietnam Upgrade Ties | $25 Billion Trade Push, UPI Link & Big Strategic Signal to China


India and Vietnam have elevated their bilateral ties to an enhanced comprehensive strategic partnership following high-level talks in New Delhi. The move signals a significant deepening of cooperation across defence, trade, digital technology, and critical resources.With an ambitious target of 25 billion dollars in trade by 2030, both countries are focusing on sectors such as rare earths, energy security, and supply chain resilience. A total of 13 agreements have been signed, including key initiatives in digital payments, pharmaceuticals, and education.The partnership also reflects a broader geopolitical shift, as India and Vietnam strengthen coordination in the Indo-Pacific amid rising regional tensions. Positioned within India’s Act East Policy, Vietnam remains a crucial partner in New Delhi’s expanding engagement with ASEAN and its long-term strategic vision.
