IWTO Green Book defends wool’s footprint

BRUSSELS – The International Wool Textile Organisation (IWTO) has released a new ‘Green Book’ which uses data to argue that wool is less environmentally damaging than synthetic fibres spun from fossil fuels.

The book, available for free, contains peer-reviewed research claiming conventional environmental accounting unfairly treats wool, alongside practical standards for responsible grazing and ecosystem health.
