Mumbai News LIVE Updates: Maharashtra Marathi Bhasha Minister Uday Samant has said the state government’s decision to conduct Hindi language exam for gazetted and non-gazetted officials has been stayed. The moves comes amid opposition from Maharashtra Navnirman Sena. “I spoke to the principal secretary of Marathi Bhasha department Kiran Kulkarni. The exam has been stayed,” Samant said on Wednesday. He further said he will explore if the exam is needed at all. “In future, if we find that the exam is unnecessary then we will take the decision to not conduct it,” Samant added.
