Having grown up surrounded by melodies and rhythms, Armaan says he cannot imagine life without music. Over the years, one of the greatest rewards of his journey has been witnessing the emotional impact of his songs on listeners. “The biggest blessing has been seeing how a song can make someone feel understood, comforted or less alone. A MEANINGFUL WORLD MUSIC DAY Instead of marking the occasion with a performance or public celebration, the singer chose to spend the day with underprivileged children, sharing songs, stories and moments of joy. “I think music is meant to be shared,” says Armaan. “Of course there are many ways to celebrate World Music Day, but for me, being there in person, spending time with these kids, singing with them and hearing their stories felt far more meaningful. It wasn’t about celebrating me or my journey. It was about celebrating what music can do for people.” The experience held special significance for the singer, who credits music for shaping his own life. “Music has given me so much throughout my life, so spending World Music Day with these kids just felt right,” he says. One of the most memorable moments of the day came when a young boy told Armaan about his dream of becoming a tabla player. The conversation struck a personal chord with the singer. “That really stayed with me because that was my dream too when I was his age. Moments like that remind you how important it is to keep dreaming, no matter where you come from. Hopefully one day him and I can make music together. If even one child leaves feeling inspired to dream a little bigger or finds comfort and happiness through music, then that’s a beautiful thing. That’s what it’s all about for me.”
