NFC Recruitment 2026: Applications Open for 432 ITI Trade Apprentice Posts

The Nuclear Fuel Complex (NFC), Hyderabad, a premier constituent unit under the Department of Atomic Energy, Government of India, has officially commenced the registration process for the recruitment of Industrial Training Institute (ITI) trade apprentices for the 2026-27 session.

This program offers a valuable opportunity for skilled individuals to gain hands-on industrial experience within a high-stakes atomic energy environment. Interested candidates are encouraged to review the eligibility criteria and submit their applications before the fast-approaching deadline.

Opportunity Overview

The NFC has announced a total of 432 tentative vacancies across a wide range of trades. Selected candidates will undergo a comprehensive one-year apprenticeship program in accordance with the Apprentices Act, 1961.

While the program provides extensive technical training, the organization has clarified that the apprenticeship does not guarantee permanent employment at the NFC upon completion.

Trade-Wise Vacancy Distribution

The recruitment drive covers 15 different trades. The distribution is as follows:

  • Fitter: 133 posts
  • Computer Operator and Programming Assistant (COPA): 65 posts
  • Electrician: 58 posts
  • Turner: 51 posts
  • Electronics Mechanic: 26 posts
  • Machinist: 24 posts
  • Welder: 24 posts
  • Instrument Mechanic: 15 posts
  • Attendant Operator (Chemical Plant): 13 posts
  • Laboratory Assistant (Chemical Plant): 6 posts
  • Carpenter: 5 posts
  • Plumber: 5 posts
  • Motor Mechanics (Vehicle): 3 posts
  • Diesel Mechanic: 3 posts
  • Draughtsman (Mechanical): 1 post

Note: The number of vacancies remains tentative and subject to change based on the organizational requirements of the NFC.

Eligibility Criteria

To be considered for the NFC Apprentice recruitment 2026, applicants must meet the following prerequisites:

  • Educational Qualification: Candidates must have cleared Class 10 and hold an ITI certificate in the relevant trade.
  • Age Limit: Applicants must be at least 18 years old. The upper age limit is 25 years for General candidates, 28 for OBC, and 30 for SC/ST candidates.
  • Exclusions: Individuals who have already completed an apprenticeship elsewhere, those currently undergoing one, and candidates with postgraduate qualifications are not eligible to apply.

Stipend and Selection Process

Selected apprentices will receive a monthly stipend during their training period. Technical trades such as Fitter, Electrician, and Turner are eligible for a stipend of Rs 11,040 per month, while COPA and specific other trades will receive Rs 10,560 per month.

The selection process will involve a review of applications followed by walk-in interviews. Shortlisted candidates will be notified of their interview date and location via email.

  2. Register and log in with your credentials.
  3. Navigate to “Apprenticeship Opportunities.”

  5. Select your desired trade and click “Apply.”

Important: The last date to submit the application is September 16, 2026. Candidates are advised to keep their registered email addresses active, as all further communication regarding the selection process will be conducted via email.
