KRAFTON and Neon Giant Reveal Cyber-Noire Shooter ‘NO LAW’ for 2027 Launch

Publisher KRAFTON and developer Neon Giant—the team behind The Ascent—have officially pulled the curtain back on their latest project: NO LAW. This immersive, story-driven, first-person shooter is set to hit store shelves in 2027, bringing its gritty, high-stakes aesthetic to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.

The announcement, accompanied by a reveal trailer showcased during Gamescom 2026: Opening Night Live, confirms that the title will be available across major digital storefronts, including Steam, the Epic Games Store, and the Microsoft Store.

Enter Port Desire

NO LAW invites players to traverse the decadent landscape of Port Desire, a vertical, industrial cybergrunge city carved into a seaside cliff. The city serves as a lawless hub for dreamers and opportunists alike. According to the developers, the environment is built on “neon sleaze” rather than regulations, offering a playground that ranges from smog-choked, claustrophobic alleys to towering rooftops that scrape the sky.

Players assume the role of Grey Harker, a battle-hardened military veteran seeking a quiet life after suffering near-fatal injuries during his final deployment. However, his dreams of peace are short-lived when trouble arrives at his doorstep, forcing him back into a life of conflict to reclaim what was stolen from him.

Choice, Consequence, and Chaos

The core of NO LAW revolves around player agency. Neon Giant has emphasized an “impactful gameplay” loop where every interaction carries weight. Throughout the campaign, players will encounter a diverse cast of allies and adversaries. Decisions made during these encounters will ripple throughout the narrative, encouraging multiple playthroughs to witness the wide array of branching paths and story outcomes.

The combat systems are designed to accommodate a variety of playstyles. Players can lean into Harker’s tactical military background, utilizing stealth, advanced sci-fi gadgets, and verticality to outsmart opponents. Alternatively, those who prefer a more aggressive approach can embrace total destruction, utilizing a suite of heavy-duty upgrades to engage in “full-frontal chaos.”

As the studio prepares for the 2027 launch, expectations are high for what this creative partnership will deliver. With its blend of tight first-person shooting and deep, choice-heavy narrative, NO LAW is positioning itself as a must-watch title for fans of dark, atmospheric science fiction.
