âBaywatchâ is heading to Canada, India and Europe, among other territories, thanks to a new multi-territory between international distributor Fremantle and Prime Video.
The pact also includes the original seriesâ complete back catalogue, including spin-off âBaywatch Hawaii.â
Italy, Germany, France, Spain, Portugal, Benelux, Switzerland, Austria, Turkey, Canada, Latin America and India will be able to access the new and rebooted 12-episode season of the sun-soaked drama in 2027 as well as all past seasons.
The show, which is produced by Fremantle and Fox Entertainment, is set to debut in the U.S. in January 2027. In the U.K. it will land on Sky.
âBaywatchâ will see a new cast of lifeguards don the iconic red swimsuits as they patrol the worldâs most famous stretch of sand, navigating ocean dramas as well as personal ones. âArrowâsâ Stephen Amell leads the series alongside Jessica Belkin (âElleâ) as Charlie Vale and Shay Mitchell (âPretty Little Liarsâ) as Trina.
Joining them are Thaddeus LaGrone as Brad, Noah Beck as Luke and Brooks Nader as Selene while David Chokachi reprises the role of Cody Madison and Livvy Dunne portrays Grace.
Original castmembers Erika Eleniak, Michael Bergin and Kelly Packard will return as guest stars.
Michela Di Mondo, Fremantleâs EVP for international distribution, brokered the deal.
âWeâre thrilled to be partnering with Prime Video to bring the new âBaywatchâ to audiences across multiple territories, while also giving fans the opportunity to revisit the original series they know and love,â Di Mondo said. âFew shows have made as big a splash or had such lasting cultural impact as âBaywatch,â and this landmark deal marks a significant moment for one of the industryâs most eagerly anticipated launches. The excitement surrounding the show has been incredible, and we canât wait for audiences to see whatâs in store. This is just the beginning of what we believe will be an exciting new chapter for âBaywatch.ââ
Fox Entertainment Global holds domestic distribution rights while Fremantle is repping on international sales.
