Ranveer Singh is known for being a people’s person and having this high energy. But he wasn’t always like this. Model-turned-actor Sonali Raut recently shared an interesting throwback about working with Ranveer Singh during his early days, revealing that the now high-energy star was once quite shy, especially while shooting a bold bikini photoshoot. Sonali recalled how she was specifically asked to help Ranveer feel at ease on set, as he was new to such glamorous shoots. Having already done bold assignments herself, she was considered the more comfortable one between the two. Reflecting on that phase, she said in a conversation with Filmi Beat, âI know Ranveer very different. I did a pose with him, and after a few years, he did the same pose with Vaani Kapoor. Ranveer, at that time, was very sweet, very friendly and very nice. He was not like (imitates him) âYeahâ, full of energy, no. Actually, he was very shy because again, it was a bikini shoot.”She further described the atmosphere on set, adding, âIt was very bold. It was glamorous. He said, âThis is my first shoot like that, like very glamorous, and with a girl whoâs wearing a bikini.â Yeah, he was so cautious. He was chewing gum, he was wearing perfume⌠I was chill, and even the photographer was like, âSonali, donât make him conscious because you are okay, but heâs a little nervous. Please make him comfortable.‘”Sonali also pointed out how different Ranveerâs personality was back then compared to his flamboyant public image today. Recalling a moment from the shoot, she said he told her, âYou know, Sonali, itâs my first shoot. You know, Iâm wearing clothes.” She laughed as she responded, âI said, âYeah, you are wearing clothes, what are you nervous about?â Then he repeated this pose (with Vaani Kapoor).”On the work front, Ranveer Singh is currently riding high on the success of his recent releases ‘Dhurandhar’ and ‘Dhurandhar 2’. According to Sacnilk, the combined box office collection of both films has crossed Rs 3000 crore, setting a new benchmark for Indian cinema.
