Riteish Deshmukh’s Raja Shivaji has completed its first week at the box office, and the numbers indicate that the film is headed for a respectable lifetime total. The period historical drama collected Rs. 57.70 crores nett across all languages in Week 1, setting the stage for a final domestic lifetime in the range of Rs. 110-115 crores nett, provided it continues to hold steadily in its second week.

The film opened at Rs. 12.40 crores on Friday, followed by Rs. 11.50 crores on Saturday and Rs. 13.10 crores on Sunday, taking its opening weekend to Rs. 37 crores. While the weekend trend was not explosive, it was healthy enough to suggest that the film had found acceptance among its target audience. The real test, however, came on weekdays. On Monday, Raja Shivaji collected Rs. 6.20 crores, followed by Rs. 5.40 crores on Tuesday, Rs. 4.70 crores on Wednesday and Rs. 4.40 crores on Thursday.
The Thursday number is particularly important as it gives a fair indication of the film’s staying power. At Rs. 4.40 crores, the film held at around 71% of its Monday collections, which is a decent trend for a film that had already crossed Rs. 50 crores in the first week.
As things stand, Raja Shivaji is likely to add another Rs. 30-35 crores in Week 2 if the second weekend shows the expected jump. From there, the film should continue to collect in lower but steady numbers over the following weeks. This makes a lifetime total of Rs. 110-115 crores nett the most realistic projection across all languages.
The film’s Hindi version has also contributed a notable share to the overall number. Out of the Rs. 57.70 crores Week 1 total, the Hindi version has collected approximately Rs. 15.02 crores nett. Its daily numbers stood at Rs. 3 crores on Friday, Rs. 3 crores on Saturday, Rs. 4 crores on Sunday, Rs. 1.30 crores on Monday, Rs. 1.30 crores on Tuesday, Rs. 1.25 crores on Wednesday and Rs. 1.17 crores on Thursday.
The Hindi contribution is around 26% of the all-language Week 1 total, which is encouraging for a film that is primarily driven by regional and cultural appeal. The Hindi version is now expected to finish in the range of Rs. 30-34 crores nett, with an outside chance of touching Rs. 36-38 crores if Week 2 remains strong.
The lifetime trajectory now depends heavily on the second weekend. If Raja Shivaji manages to jump well on Saturday and Sunday, it can comfortably move towards the higher end of the projected range at Rs. 120 cr. However, if the second Friday drop is sharper than expected, the film may settle closer to the Rs. 105-110 crores mark.
For now, the box office picture is clear: Raja Shivaji has done enough in Week 1 to emerge as a successful theatrical performer.
