In a major relief for job aspirants, the five state power companies of Rajasthan have officially extended the registration deadline for their massive 2026 recruitment drive. Candidates now have until August 31, 2026, to submit their applications for a total of 2,005 vacancies across various technical and administrative roles.
The recruitment process, which covers positions within the Rajasthan Rajya Vidyut Utpadan Nigam Ltd. (RVUN), Rajasthan Rajya Vidyut Prasaran Nigam Ltd. (RVPN), and the three distribution companies—Jaipur (JVVN), Ajmer (AVVN), and Jodhpur (JdVVN)—was initially launched on August 4, 2026, with an original closing date of August 25.
Comprehensive Vacancy Details
The recruitment drive is divided into two primary categories, catering to both engineering professionals and ministerial staff:
- Junior Accountant and Junior Assistant/Commercial Assistant-II: 1,136 posts.
- Junior Engineer-I (JE-I): 869 posts.
The engineering vacancies are distributed across three key disciplines:
- Electrical: 727 posts
- Mechanical: 110 posts
- Civil: 32 posts

Eligibility Criteria
To ensure fairness in the selection process, the state power sector has set rigorous academic and professional requirements for the different roles:
- Junior Accountant: Requires a graduation degree in Commerce or Business Administration. Candidates with advanced qualifications—such as the Intermediate exam from the ICAI or ICWAI, an M.Com, or an MBA—are also eligible under specific conditions, provided they possess a recognized computer qualification.
- Junior Assistant/Commercial Assistant-II: Applicants must have cleared the Senior Secondary Examination and hold a prescribed computer qualification. Knowledge of Hindi (Devanagari script) and Rajasthani culture is mandatory.
- Junior Engineer-I: A full-time four-year degree in the relevant engineering discipline (Electrical, Mechanical, or Civil) is required.
Age Limits and Relaxations
For all posts, the age limit is calculated as of January 1, 2027. Given that direct recruitment was not conducted in the preceding three years, the upper age limit has been set at 43 years for most categories, providing a broader window for older applicants. Age relaxations are available for reserved categories as per the official government guidelines.
