In a landmark moment for the luxury travel industry, Palm Beach-based SeaDream Yacht Club has announced the expansion of its fleet with the unveiling of SeaDream III. Marking the company’s first new yacht build in its quarter-century history, the vessel is set to redefine the boutique yachting experience, with reservations for its inaugural 2029 season officially open.
A New Chapter in Boutique Luxury
Scheduled to make its debut on July 10, 2029, SeaDream III arrives as the third vessel in the company’s fleet. While the yacht introduces a larger footprint—measuring approximately 151 meters (495 feet)—it remains firmly committed to the intimate, family-oriented atmosphere that has become the brand’s hallmark.
“SeaDream III represents the next chapter for SeaDream,” said Atle Brynestad, founder and owner of the company. “She will carry forward the same DNA as SeaDream I and SeaDream II: personalized service, exceptional cuisine, and the genuine feeling of being on your own yacht. The yacht is designed to carry around 200 guests, served by a nearly equal number of crew members to ensure the high-touch service the company is known for. Accommodations span five decks, featuring an increased variety of suites and staterooms with private balconies, catering to both short-term travelers and those seeking extended voyages.

The architectural philosophy of SeaDream III centers on outdoor connectivity. The vessel features expansive upper decks, a dedicated pool area, and three specialized watersports marinas that provide guests with direct access to the sea. Global Exploration: From Asia to the Great Lakes
The yacht’s maiden voyage will set sail from Hong Kong, traversing the Ryukyu Islands and Japan’s Pacific coast, culminating in an official christening in Tokyo on July 21, 2029.
The initial deployment highlights the yacht’s capability to reach unique, remote ports that larger cruise liners cannot access. Following its Asian debut, SeaDream III is scheduled for an ambitious two-year itinerary that spans six continents, 73 countries, and 364 ports. Notable highlights include:
- 2030 Global Circuit: Following its initial season, the yacht will sail to India, the Arabian Peninsula, and the Mediterranean, before heading north to explore the British Isles, Scandinavia, and the Arctic.
- North American Expansion: The vessel will eventually transit the North Atlantic to explore the St. Lawrence River and the Great Lakes, with stops in Montreal, Chicago, Toronto, and Detroit.
- 180-Night World Voyage: In a definitive statement of its long-range capabilities, SeaDream III will embark on a massive 180-night World Voyage beginning January 5, 2031, transiting the Panama Canal and journeying through the South Pacific, Australia, Southeast Asia, and the Mediterranean, before concluding in London.
