Formula One has confirmed that the Turkish Grand Prix will return to the calendar in 2027 on a five-year deal.
The Istanbul Park circuit last hosted a race in 2021, which was won by Mercedes’ Valtteri Bottas.
The announcement comes as Formula One continues a shake-up to its calendar, with the sport also returning to Portugal next year.

One Herman Tilke’s most popular hits as a track architect, the circuit is best known for its quadruple-apex Turn 8, which has since been imitated at several newer tracks across the world.
Istanbul Park has hosted nine races since 2005, when Kimi Räikkönen took victory for McLaren in the inaugural Turkish Grand Prix.
Felipe Massa is the most successful driver at the venue, winning three consecutive races for Ferrari between 2006 and 2008.

The circuit endured a nine-year hiatus from the calendar from 2011, before a chaotic return in the Covid-affected 2020 season which began with a pole position for Lance Stroll and concluded with Lewis Hamilton winning his seventh world title.
The announcement of next year’s Turkish Grand Prix takes the provisional 2027 calendar to 24 races.
