Northumbria Police have issued an urgent appeal for the public’s help in locating a 16-year-old boy who has been missing for over a week.
Jamie was last seen in the Sunderland city centre area on Monday, October 26. Since that day, there have been no confirmed sightings of him, and police have stated that they are growing “increasingly concerned” for his welfare.
Extensive enquiries are currently underway to trace the teenager. Authorities have expanded their search efforts, noting that Jamie has established links to the Bishop Auckland area of County Durham. Officers are urging residents in both Sunderland and County Durham to remain vigilant and report any information that might assist in the investigation.
Jamie is described as a white boy with light brown hair. When he was last seen, he was dressed in distinctive clothing, including a black Under Armour cap, a black North Face coat, and black tracksuit bottoms.
Police are appealing directly to the public for assistance. Anyone who may have seen Jamie, or who has information regarding his current whereabouts, is being asked to come forward immediately.
“Anyone who knows where Jamie may be, or Jamie themself, are asked to contact police immediately,” a spokesperson for Northumbria Police stated. Members of the public can provide information via a direct message on the force’s social media channels or by submitting a report through the official Northumbria Police website.
To help expedite the investigation, those providing information are asked to quote the reference number 26000484033. Authorities have emphasized the importance of any information, no matter how small it may seem, as they work to ensure the teenager is located safe and sound.
