Vishal said, “Ah, but I mean, honestly, for me, the more important part of the song is KK. Yeah, I mean, Shahrukh is Shahrukh; nobody carries a song like him… The original has a soul. There is something that KK had; he would. There was no artifice in his voice. See how cool I am. I am bigger than the song. I am KK, never. He was beautiful. You know what I am saying; he was that guy. So you can’t replace that. Emotionally I’m just like, “Ah, every time I speak about him it… and it’s not like, you know, we were in each other’s… it’s just what we lost is so precious, man.”

The singer passed away on May 31, 2022, after suffering a heart attack shortly after performing at a live concert in Kolkata. He was 53 years old.
