A teenager has died after being taken ill at a Welsh music festival. North Wales Police has confirmed officers were called to Tonnau festival at the Carreglwyd Estate on Anglesey at around 1.45am this morning, July 11, following reports of a medical emergency.
An 18-year-old woman later died in hospital, the force said. Her death is being treated as unexpected whilst investigations are ongoing and the coroner has been informed, a spokeswoman said.
Detective Inspector Iolo Edwards said: “Our thoughts remain with the woman’s family and loved ones at this difficult time.
