West Lothian thieves in dark clothing break into home and flee with stolen car


The incident took place in the Kettilstoun Crescent area of Linlithgow around 4.20am.

West Lothian police have launched an investigation following a housebreaking during the early hours of Thursday morning.

The incident took place in the Kettilstoun Crescent area of Linlithgow around 4.20am.

A property was broken into and keys for two cars were taken. The males made off with a blue Volkswagon Golf but left a second car after they were disturbed.

The first man is described as around 5ft 8ins, of average build, aged 20s to 30s, and was wearing a dark cap and a face covering, a dark jumper with stripes on the arms and grey jogging bottoms. The second was wearing all dark clothing.

Police Constable Mark Kerr said: “Our enquiries suggest the stolen car was subsequently seen in the Bathgate area and we are asking anyone who has seen this vehicle to get in touch.

“Please also check any private CCTV or dash-cam footage to see if something has been captured that could assist with our investigation.”
