Police raided a property in Bury on Tuesday (April 14)
Windows were left smashed after officers and forensics made a huge discovery in Bury on Tuesday (April 14). Police raided a property on Bridgefield Street in Radcliffe at around 8am amid investigations into local drug supply.
Photos from the scene showed a number of police cars in attendance at the building, called Bridgefield House, with the glass door also seen shattered. CSI officers were also seen going in and out of the building conducting enquiries.
It was later revealed that officers uncovered six rooms growing cannabis plants. There was also lighting equipment, fans, pipes and other drug-growing paraphernalia, GMP said.

A total of 663 cannabis plants were seized by officers. The electricity was also discovered to have been illegally bypassed and is now being disconnected.
Four men aged between 33 and 55 have now been arrested on suspicion of producing a Class B drug and abstracting electricity. They remain in custody for questioning.
Chief Inspector Michael Barton, from GMP’s Bury district, said: “This was a great result for the local neighbourhood team, who secured four arrests and seized hundreds of plants.
“Drug dealing is not something that is a victimless crime. The violence between gangs and exploitation of vulnerable people is something that we unfortunately see across Greater Manchester – and is something we are constantly working to tackle.
“If you have any information about criminality within your area, please do get in touch with your local team, or contact the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously.”
