A 19-year-old man is scheduled to stand trial later this year in connection with a shooting that left three people injured in West Yorkshire.

Joe Garrity, of Bain Street, Swinton, Manchester, appeared at Leeds Crown Court on Thursday via video link from HMP Doncaster for a further case management hearing. He faces a serious array of charges stemming from an incident at S Autos Garage on Bulay Road in the Thornton Lodge area of Huddersfield, which occurred on July 22 of last year.

Garrity has been charged with three counts of attempted murder, handling stolen goods, possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life, possession of a prohibited weapon, and driving while disqualified.

While the shooting resulted in injuries to three individuals, authorities confirmed that none of the victims sustained life-threatening wounds.

During the proceedings, the court finalized the schedule for the upcoming legal process. Judge Guy Kearl, the Recorder of Leeds, confirmed that the trial is set to commence on November 2. The court expects the proceedings to last approximately one week.

Addressing the defendant during the hearing, Judge Kearl stated, "Mr. Garrity, what I have been doing is making sure that your case is ready to be heard when it is listed for trial, and that is now the second of November."

Garrity remains remanded in custody as the legal process moves toward the scheduled trial date.
