Deepika Padukone’s Team Refutes Casting Rumors for ‘Brahmastra 2’
The speculation surrounding the cast of the highly anticipated fantasy sequel Brahmastra 2 has been firmly put to rest. Following a whirlwind of media reports suggesting that Bollywood superstar Deepika Padukone would be joining the franchise alongside Ranbir Kapoor, the actor’s official representatives have stepped forward to clear the air.

“Ayan has gone ten times bigger than Part One in terms of his ideas, his thoughts, and the characters,” Kapoor shared in a 2023 interaction with fans. Given Mukerji’s current commitments—including the highly anticipated War 2—production on the Brahmastra sequel is slated to begin once his current projects reach completion, with the team aiming to start filming by late 2025 or early 2026.
