Inside Jaaved Jaaferi’s Stunning 7,000-Sq-Ft Sanctuary in Bandra

For legendary actor and television icon Jaaved Jaaferi, the concept of “home” has always been synonymous with the vibrant suburb of Bandra. Recently, the star opened the doors to his sprawling, 7,000-square-foot sea-facing apartment, offering a glimpse into a residence that seamlessly blends Mediterranean elegance with deeply personal family history.

Designed by Kush Bhayani of KULx Studio, the residence serves as a masterclass in “warm, natural, and eclectic” design, catering to the evolving needs of the actor and his children, Meezaan and Alaviaa.

A Return to Roots

Jaaved’s relocation to Bandra was a nostalgic journey back to his origins. Having spent 40 years of his life in the area before a temporary stint in Lokhandwala, the actor admitted that he was drawn back to the neighborhood’s unique energy. “I’ve been a Bandra boy all my life,” Jaaved shared. When he encountered this particular property, its breathtaking views of the Arabian Sea and the potential for a sophisticated family retreat convinced him to return to his roots.

Design Philosophy: Earthy Sophistication

The home’s aesthetic is grounded in sunbaked, earthy tones that evoke the tranquility of a Mediterranean villa. Throughout the residence, textured micro-concrete walls create a tactile, rustic canvas.

The living room, the heart of the home, features a sage-toned, two-sided sofa and plush furnishings that prioritize comfort. Pops of lush green and natural materials, including cured wood logs and translucent stone, ensure the space remains both modern and inviting.

Creating Shared Moments

One of the most intentional design choices was the creation of a dedicated dining area. In an era dominated by digital distractions and isolated eating habits, the Jaaferi family prioritized a space for connection. The dining room features a striking onyx slab table supported by sturdy wooden logs, illuminated by bespoke fabric pendant lamps. Meezaan notes that this addition has transformed their daily routine, encouraging the family to gather and share meals together.

Nostalgia and Personal Touches

The home is a living archive of the family’s journey. A custom-built reading nook stands as a testament to Jaaved’s intellectual interests, housing a curated collection of artifacts from his travels and an extensive DVD library. Similarly, Meezaan’s room reflects a generational love for music, proudly displaying a collection of classic records—featuring legends like Fleetwood Mac—gifted to him by his father.

A Terrace with a View

Perhaps the home’s crown jewel is the expansive terrace that runs the length of the apartment. Overlooking the Arabian Sea, it serves as a sanctuary where two generations can unwind, converse, and appreciate the serenity of the coast. For Jaaved, the terrace represents a convergence of his past, his present, and the future of his family.

A Prolific Career

While he creates beautiful memories at home, Jaaved Jaaferi continues to be a force in Indian cinema. Following a productive run through 2025 and 2026, the actor’s schedule remains packed. He recently appeared in the psychological thriller Mayasabha – The Hall of Illusion, as well as De De Pyaar De 2 and Inn Galiyon Mein. Fans were also thrilled to see his return to his iconic comedic roots in Dhamaal 4, released around Eid 2026. Looking ahead, audiences can anticipate his appearances in highly anticipated projects like Love & War and the evergreen Hera Pheri 3.
