Zee Studios Unveils Massive Multi-Language 2026-27 Film Slate, Championing Cinematic Diversity

In a bold move to solidify its position as a powerhouse of Indian cinema, Zee Studios has announced an expansive content slate for 2026-27. The announcement showcases a strategic commitment to linguistic and cultural diversity, spanning Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Marathi, Malayalam, Kannada, and Gujarati cinema.

The upcoming portfolio is designed to cater to a wide array of audience tastes, featuring everything from high-octane action spectacles and psychological thrillers to mythological epics and rooted, regional narratives.

A Diverse Hindi Offering

The Hindi-language segment is headlined by “Baap,” a powerhouse project starring veteran icons Sunny Deol, Sanjay Dutt, Jackie Shroff, and Mithun Chakraborty, directed by Vivek Singh Chauhan. Mythology enthusiasts can look forward to “Shri Ram Bhoomi,” directed by Kamakhya Narayan Singh and featuring Anupam Kher.

The studio is also leaning into high-concept dramas and thrillers, with projects like Abhishek Acharya’s “Delhi 2021” (starring Richa Chadha), Ravi Varma’s “Blind Babu” (featuring Nawazuddin Siddiqui), and Sangeeth Sivan’s “Blind Game,” which teams Arjun Rampal with Priyamani. Additionally, the studio has announced a high-profile collaboration with Anil Kapoor Film & Communication Network for the upcoming film “Paaltu.”

Pan-Indian Ambitions: Telugu, Tamil, and Kannada

Zee Studios continues to lean into the massive popularity of South Indian cinema. The Telugu slate is particularly robust, featuring the highly anticipated “NBK111” starring Nandamuri Balakrishna under the direction of Gopichand Malineni. Other notable Telugu titles include “Indraputra” starring Kiran Abbavaram, and “January 12 Vidudala,” an ensemble piece featuring Venkatesh Daggubati, Keerthy Suresh, and Kalyan Ram.

In the Tamil market, the studio is backing the Nayanthara and Kavin-starrer “Hi,” and the intriguing “Sathyavan Savithri,” which features Keerthy Suresh and Mysskin. Kannada cinema is also represented by the action-packed “Anna From Mexico,” starring Dhananjaya.

Regional Growth and Marathi Excellence

Building on the success of its National Film Award-winning project “Aatmapamphlet,” Zee Studios is doubling down on its Marathi-language production. The new lineup includes “Jhep,” directed by Priyadarshan Jadhav, “Phulwara” starring Priyadarshini Indalkar, and the intense drama “Jogai.”

Furthermore, the studio is expanding its footprint in the Gujarati market with the comedy “Tom and Cherry,” directed by Dharmessh Mehta and starring Siddharth Randeria.
