Meanwhile, director-turned-actor Lokesh Kanagaraj’s debut vehicle, DC, has officially surpassed the coveted Rs 100 crore mark worldwide.

‘Vishwanath and Sons’ Maintains Steady Pace

Suriya’s Vishwanath and Sons is showcasing strong legs as it transitions into the latter half of its second week. According to industry tracker Sacnilk, the film pulled in an estimated Rs 2.61 crore net in India on its 13th day of release.

This latest figure brings the film’s total India net collection to Rs 108.11 crore, with its domestic gross standing at Rs 125.08 crore. The production is now just Rs 14.92 crore shy of entering the prestigious Rs 200 crore club.

Despite a minor 6.8% dip compared to its Day 12 earnings of Rs 2.80 crore, the film remains a dominant force, supported by a healthy number of daily screenings (1,382 on its second Wednesday).

The Tamil version remains the primary driver of the film’s success. It contributed Rs 1.54 crore on Day 13 with an impressive overall occupancy rate of 58.35%, peaking during the night and afternoon shows. The Telugu version continues to hold its own, adding Rs 1.07 crore to the daily tally with an occupancy of 44.78%.

Lokesh Kanagaraj’s ‘DC’ Hits Century Milestone

In parallel, the romantic action-thriller DC, directed by Arun Matheswaran, has reached a significant theatrical landmark. The film, which marks the full-length acting debut of renowned filmmaker Lokesh Kanagaraj, has officially crossed the Rs 100 crore worldwide gross mark.

As of its latest reporting, the film has secured Rs 67.39 crore in India net, with an overall domestic gross of Rs 77.60 crore. Bolstered by an additional Rs 23.25 crore from international markets, the project has now reached a cumulative global total of Rs 100.86 crore.

While the film’s daily collections have moderated during the later stages of its theatrical run, its ability to maintain a consistent audience presence underscores the growing commercial appeal of the star-director. As fans track the progress of these two major releases, the industry continues to monitor the Vishwanath and Sons box office collection as they navigate their way through the month.
