Toxic: A Fairy Tale For Grown-Ups Box Office Collection Day 4: Yash Starrer Slows Down, Hindi Version Crosses Rs 100-Crore

Yash’s ‘Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups’ Hits Major Milestone Despite Box Office Slowdown

The highly anticipated cinematic spectacle Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups has officially crossed the coveted Rs 100 crore mark in its Hindi-language release, marking a significant achievement just four days after its wide-scale theatrical debut on August 26.

While the film, directed by Geetu Mohandas, enjoyed a record-shattering opening day, box office trends have shown a sharp decline in daily earnings over the subsequent 72 hours. According to industry estimates by Sacnilk, the film’s total India net collection now stands at Rs 175.97 crore, with the all-India gross revenue reaching Rs 209.92 crore as of Day 4.

A Strong Hindi Market Performance

The Hindi version of the film has emerged as a primary engine for its box office success. By securing an additional Rs 6.07 crore on its fourth day, the Hindi dub pushed its cumulative four-day earnings past the Rs 100 crore milestone.

This performance places Toxic in an elite category of South Indian cinema that has successfully penetrated the Hindi-speaking belt. The film joins a prestigious list of cross-over hits, including Pushpa 2, KGF: Chapter 2, Baahubali: The Conclusion, and RRR, cementing Yash’s status as a pan-Indian superstar.

While the Hindi version led the collection charts on Day 4, the Kannada version contributed Rs 3.03 crore, followed by steady, albeit smaller, gains from the Telugu (Rs 58 lakh) and Tamil (Rs 34 lakh) markets.

Shifting Momentum

Despite the excitement surrounding the release, the Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups box office collection reflects a cooling trend. After a massive opening day of Rs 101.10 crore, the daily intake dropped to Rs 37.65 crore on Day 2 and Rs 27.20 crore on Day 3. Analysts attribute this volatility to mixed audience reception, which has tempered the initial momentum created by the film’s high-octane marketing campaign.

About the Production

Mounted on a massive reported budget of over Rs 500 crore, Toxic is a visually ambitious project set in post-independence Goa. The narrative explores the complex world of a gangster struggling with themes of morality, loyalty, and redemption.

The film boasts an expansive ensemble cast alongside Yash, including Nayanthara, Kiara Advani, Rukmini Vasanth, Tara Sutaria, and Huma Qureshi. Critics and audiences alike have lauded the film’s striking visual style and Yash’s commanding screen presence, even as the conversation surrounding the film’s pacing and narrative depth continues to evolve across social media and trade circles.

As the film moves into its first full week, industry experts will be watching closely to see if the project can stabilize its daily earnings and sustain its momentum against the backdrop of its high production costs.
