Eligibility and Selection Process
To qualify for the Office Assistant role, candidates must be between 18 and 28 years of age and hold a bachelor’s degree in any discipline. Applicants should also be proficient in the local language of the state or union territory they are applying for. IBPS provides age relaxations of five years for SC/ST candidates, three years for OBC, and up to 10 years for PwBD applicants, in accordance with government guidelines.
The selection process for the Clerk (Office Assistant) position is bifurcated into a preliminary and a main examination. Crucially, there is no interview round for this post; the merit list is prepared based solely on the performance in the main examination.

Including allowances, the monthly in-hand salary for an Office Assistant typically ranges between Rs 28,000 and Rs 30,000, depending on the posting location and the specific Regional Rural Bank.
