Rescheduled Examination Details
The BSF has confirmed that the affected candidates will now be required to appear for their examination on September 18, 2026. Timeline for Answer Keys and Results

Candidates will be provided with an opportunity to review their recorded responses and submit objections against the provisional keys within a specified window. Following the objection phase and final evaluation, the BSF is expected to publish the CBT results and the written cut-off scores, with the timeline for these announcements currently projected for October and November 2026.
Upcoming Selection Stages: Skill Tests and Medicals
Candidates who successfully qualify in the written CBT will progress to the practical skill-testing phase, which is tailored to the specific role:
- Head Constable (Ministerial): Candidates must clear a typing test. The required benchmarks are a minimum speed of 35 words per minute (wpm) in English or 30 wpm in Hindi, to be completed within 10 minutes.
- ASI Stenographer: Candidates must undergo a shorthand dictation test at 80 wpm for 10 minutes, followed by a computer-based transcription test (50 minutes for English or 65 minutes for Hindi).
Following the skill assessments, qualifying candidates will undergo a mandatory Document Verification (DV) process to validate their educational and professional credentials. This will be succeeded by a Detailed Medical Examination (DME), conducted by a CAPF medical board, to ensure the physical and medical fitness of all prospective appointees.
