Zelensky Appreciates India’s Stance as Jaishankar Offers Mediation to End Russia-Ukraine Conflict
KYIV – In a significant diplomatic engagement, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky met with India’s Minister of External Affairs, S. Jaishankar, in Kyiv on Thursday to discuss paths toward resolving the ongoing conflict with Russia. The meeting underscored India’s growing role as a potential bridge-builder in the global effort to restore stability to the region.

Zelensky condemned Russia’s efforts to obstruct civilian shipping and the grain corridor, which he argued are “injecting major disruption into global relations.” Both leaders agreed that blocking food supplies to sensitive regions is “absolutely unacceptable,” underscoring the necessity of keeping maritime trade routes open for global food security.
