May 5 (Reuters) – Hero MotoCorp, India’s top two-wheeler maker, reported a better-than-expected quarterly profit on Tuesday, driven by strong demand in the domestic market, which accounts for more than 90% of its sales.
The maker of the Splendor motorcycle posted a near 30% rise in fourth-quarter profit to 14.01 billion rupees ($147.04 million), topping analysts’ estimates of 13.35 billion rupees, according to data compiled by LSEG.
